Claire Devonshire wasn't born to a life of service, but after her mother dies and her father drinks away their fortune she finds herself sold into servitude as partial repayment for the family debt. I absolutely adore this story. The characters are not as complex as some of this authors more recent work but they are loveable and moving. I cried during certain parts and completely enjoyed the rather romantic edges of the story as much as the sexy spankings.Product details

this was a good story i thought the spankings were okay none of them led to sex which i like in a spanking story
The story of Claire starts out somewhat severe and you also think it will head in a different direction at the beginning but the story quickly turns bittersweet as young Claire is given the charge of the Lady of the house who is dying. The beautiful happily ever after makes it a very worthy read.
This book was a whole lot of telling and a little showing. The romance described was more about the hero and his dying wife then the heroine. This could have been so much more. This was really lacking for a spanking story I mean the heroine only received a couple. I really enjoy old fashion spanking stories where the spanking is genuinely a punishment. I was so excited to read this after looking at the other reviews. I was so disappointed. I don't feel this story was worth what I paid for it. There was very little development of the relationship between the main couple. What there was was mainly told not shown after the fact. This book left me unsatisfied and upset about the money I paid for it. I almost asked for a refund. If you like tame stories with a lot of fade to black you might like this.
